Fourth Generation Chevy Camaro PicturesFourth Generation Chevy Camaro Pictures

A new factory (in Ste. Therese, Quebec, Canada) and a totally new Camaro from nose to tail. The fourth generation Camaro is longer, taller and wider than its third generation predecessor. The most striking features were a windshield with a steep 68-degree slope, a low hood line, a smooth roofline and an integral spoiler. The roof, doors, hatchback panel and rear deck spoiler were made of sheet molded compound (SMC), made of chopped glass in a polyester resin. The front fenders and front fascia were reaction injection molded (RIM). The fourth generation Camaro also saw Chevy's first use of dual airbags.
